Special Announcement regarding Volunteer Meeting
January 12, 2021
To: Our Treasured Volunteers
First and foremost, we would like to thank you for all the care and work you have put forth in support of this organization. We truly could not function as an organization in supporting animals and community pets without your assistance.
Clearly, things have been far from ordinary for our organization since March 2020. As you know, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have had to cancel most of our fundraising and community events. We understand that this has been a loss for many of you, who clearly enjoy helping our organization and participating in these events. We hope that the organization will be able to resume normal operations in the next several months, as the vaccine is distributed.
Second, as you know, we have scheduled a volunteer meeting to be held at the Pontiac Convention Center on January 20, 2021, beginning at 6:30 p.m. We want to assure you that every precaution will be taken to ensure that attendees will be socially distanced. Tables will be spread throughout the banquet hall, with only two chairs per table. Attendees will be asked to wear masks, as well.
The purpose of the upcoming meeting is to get in touch with all of you to discuss the activities of the organization since the start of the pandemic. In addition, it is with great sadness that we announce the departure of our beloved founder, Lois Corwin. As many of you know, Lois has had some health problems in the past. At this time, Lois is stepping away from the organization to focus on her health. We wish her the best of luck on a speedy recovery!
We would like to assure each of you that the organization will live on and continue helping animals and providing aid to community pets. The Board will be present at the meeting on January 20 to discuss upcoming plans for the organization and to answer any questions you have. We look forward to seeing you all there!
Sincerely,
Friends of Noah Board of Directors
