VOLUNTEER MEETING
January 15th, 6:30 p.m.
Festival Foods - Janesville, WI
Vice-President Mark Boeche led the meeting. Other Board members in attendance were: Emily Dykstra, Christina Zink, Rhonda Karlen, and Sue Showers. A special welcome to Mike Nieman & Tom Joyce of the Holiday House.
Committee Reports
SAFE (Saving Animals through Focused Education) / Dawn Espinosa
No report.
CAFÉ (Companion Animal Feeding Effort) / Shiela Lund
Milton Vet Clinic did a food drive for the Milton Food Pantry which CAFE helped to facilitate.
Humane Holidays: no report on total yet.
Noah’s Animal Fund / Rhonda Karlen
Jake - cat with urinary blockage. NAF helped with $480 of surgery. Jake is recovering well.
Jake is the only qualifying applicant so far this year.
Animal Update:
Cats: Cindy and Jessica
Several adoptions in December.
Grimm, Purrscilla, and Sophie were adopted
Cats in the Adoption Center seem a little skittish.
New intakes are on hold.
Dogs: Sue
Missy (Dachshund mix) adopted. Missy and her new owner are doing well together.
Cher (Pomeranian mix) was taken in December. Cher’s owner was hospitalized and no one knew she was there for 4 days. Cher does have some medical issues. She is getting monthly Librella injections. Close friends of Sue’s have donated to her medical care. Fosters Kevin and Trish have adopted Cher for the months or years she has left.
Echo is still waiting for her forever home. Echo needs to be an only dog.

FON has received several end of year donations that will be reflected in January’s donation totals. January will also include donations from the Holiday House.

The bin was overflowing - on more than one occasion - with donations
Holiday Tree Show / Dawn:
Thank you to Sheila JaDoul for decorating the tree
All of the ‘make and take’ ornaments were taken - with several being hung back on the tree
Mittens for Kittens / Dawn:
Thank you to Nowlan Personal Injury Team for this fundraiser and to all who donated
$1800 was raised for Friends of Noah. Mittens will be donated to Echo and Gifts Men's Shelter
Upcoming Events / Dawn:
People for Pets at Mounds
This is a ‘round-up’ at the register event
We are hoping to have an Information Table again on select dates to raise awareness for FON. Sign up sheet on counter and will be online.
Basics Co-op
